Who is Eben Pagan?

Eben Pagan is an American entrepreneur, author and online educator, best known for building digital businesses and teaching others how to do the same. Before publishing under his real name, he built his first business under the pen name David DeAngelo.

Over more than two decades, he has created dozens of training programs on marketing, productivity and entrepreneurship, including "Double Your Dating," "Get Altitude" and Future Coach. In recent years, he has turned his focus to teaching entrepreneurs how to use AI in their marketing.

Eben Pagan: Early Life and Background

Eben Pagan was born on December 5, 1971, in Brooklyn, New York City, and spent much of his youth in rural Oregon. In his twenties he moved to San Diego, where he worked as a mortgage broker and agent. Real estate was not where he found success, but the experience sparked a lasting interest in marketing and sales that shaped everything that came next.

Career Beginnings and Breakthrough

His breakthrough came in 2001, in the early days of online business. Writing as David DeAngelo, he spent about three weeks writing "Double Your Dating," a dating advice book for men. He published it online, built a website around it and promoted it through email marketing. By focusing on genuinely useful content and building a loyal audience, he grew that single ebook into a multi-million-dollar digital business.

Venture into Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship

After the success of "Double Your Dating," Eben expanded into teaching digital marketing and entrepreneurship. He founded EbenPaganTraining.com, which offers more than 40 classes and courses on starting, growing and scaling a business, covering everything from earning your first income online to productivity and building wealth.

Eben Pagan and AI Marketing

Eben has spent more than two decades teaching entrepreneurs how to market and grow online businesses, and he has now brought that experience to artificial intelligence. His approach centers on directing AI with your own expertise and voice, rather than treating it like a search engine. His Future Coach program had already brought AI tools and prompts into coaching.

He puts that approach on display at his A.I. Marketing Expo, bringing together more than a dozen AI marketing experts to show, through live interviews and demos, how they use AI in their own businesses.
